 Utah Travel Center Activities Wildlife

Desert bighorn sheep reside in Canyonlands, mountain goats pine their way to the Uintas, and American bison herds march along Antelope Island State Park and the Henry Mountains. In Utah, wildlife is everywhere! There are over 600 species of mammals, birds, fishes, reptiles, and amphibians that make their homes in Utah's diverse habitat. This section contains general information on wildlife viewing opportunities located around the state. There are many books and brochures published on the state's wildlife viewing opportunities that are available in bookstores or visitor information centers. Information can be requested from the Division of Wildlife Resources.
