In the 1860's Erastus Snow
girded his buggy with ropes and lowered it over the side
of a hill, effecting a shortcut to St. George. A sudden
whirlwind tore the top off the buggy. "Well, that
was a hurricane!' exclaimed Snow, "We'll call this
