Beaver County received its name from all of the beaver once found in the Beaver River. It is located in southwestern Utah. The Nevada State border is on the west and Piute County on the east. On the south is Iron County, with a little bit of Garfield County in the southeast corner. The northern boundry is Millard County.

Economy: The economy is mainly based on tourism, transportation, and livestock.

Points of interest: Cove Fort Historical Site, Frisco ghost town, Minersville Reservoir State Park, Beaver City Historic District, Puffer Lake.
