Description.
Jordanelle Reservoir is located in a picturesque mountain
setting near Heber City. The park offers an array
of recreational opportunities near the Wasatch Front.
Two state-operated facilities provide camping, picnicking,
fishing, boating, water sports, swimming, hiking and mountain
biking.
Hailstone
- Located on the west shore of the reservoir off U.S.
Highway 40, this area offers boating, water sports, year-round
fishing, hiking, biking, camp service center and a children's
playground. Facilities include three separate camping
areas, modern rest rooms, showers, utility hookups, fish
cleaning and sewage disposal stations, visitor center,
sandy beaches, three group-use pavilions, 41 day-use cabanas,
two mini-laundromats, children's play area, two boat ramps
(one ramp for personal watercraft), 80-slip marina with
utility hookups, fuel dispensing, marina store, restaurant
and miles of non-motorized trails.
Rock
Cliff - Located on the Provo River two miles
west of Francis on State Route 32, this area offers interpretive
trails, walk-in camping, fishing, education programs and
nature study. Facilities include the Nature Center, boardwalks,
50 walk-in camping sites, group-use area, modern rest
rooms, showers and a small boat access ramp.
The
elevation for all parks is 6,200 ft. The parks are open
all year with open reservations from May 15 - October
15. The stay limit is 14 days. There is no group camping
allowed.
The
parks also include: picnicking, drinking water, modern
rest rooms, and concession service.

activities at the park include: boating, fishing, swimming,
hiking, biking, watchable wildlife and winter activities.
Golfing and off-highway trails are available nearby.
Camping
Reservations.
Reservations
may be made by calling Utah State Parks and Recreation,
322-3770 in the Salt Lake City calling area or toll-free
1-800-322-3770, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through
Friday. Individual campsite reservations may be made from
three days to 16 weeks in advance of departure date. A
$6 non-refundable reservation fee will be charged for
each site reserved. A $10 non-refundable fee is charged
for group sites and building rentals. An additional reservation
fee will be charged for any changes to existing reservations.
Visa, MasterCard and personal checks are accepted. A $5
fee is charged for an extra vehicle and is collected at
the park.
Permits and Passes.
The Single Park Permit is $50 and allows the cardholder
and up to seven guests in the same private vehicle day-use
entrance into Jordanelle State Park. The permit is valid
for the current calendar year. The Five-Day Pass is $15
and allows day-use entrance to most Utah state parks for
five consecutive days.
